Remember that awesome new build of Google Maps for Android that Google started
teasing us with last week? It's now available, and it's
fantastic. The new build, creatively dubbed "Google Maps 5", packs at least three big features: 3D building rendering (allowing you to tilt and rotate around a map to get a considerably more accurate idea of what things look like), Dynamic Vector-based map drawing, and Offline reliability. While that first feature is perhaps the most flashy, the last two are what really seal the deal. If it weren't already, Maps for Android is now quite certainly the best mapping experience in mobile.
